Capabilities

Greg Corbett has over 40 year’s experience, in over 40 countries, in the exploration for, and evaluation of, epithermal Au-Ag and porphyry Cu-Au resources. Working mostly as a consultant, clients range from junior to major explorers, prospectors and Governments. He has been engaged in aspects of the exploration process from ground selection, through exploration to feasibility and mining.

With the late Terry Leach, Greg developed a series of geological models, which describe the characteristics of epithermal-porphyry deposits, account for the development of quality resources, and aid in their exploration. Significant mineralisation has been identified using these models. This exploration science was presented at many conferences and short courses (see Publications) from 1992-1998, and the 1998 short course notes were published as a 238 page book by the Society of Economic Geologist (Special Publication 6). These training courses continue to be well attended, now with a practical component. The current short course notes are in preparation for publication by Springer.
